Habs Talk: Trading Up, by Andrew Saadalla Would you trade any of the Habs' top-four defensemen in exchange for the Edmonton Oiler's 4th overall pick?

they will want a D and I doubt Beaulieu is the guy they would want. Assuming they swtich 1st rounders and the habs include Beaulieu of course.

Beaulieu would be way too much to climb only five spots. They want a defenseman to play on the right side anyway. I'm not sure there is a deal in here.

Price to the Oilers for Draisaitl and the 4th overall
Subban to Columbus for Saad and the 3rd overall
Pacioretty and the 9th to Winnipeg for the 2nd overall

So don't want Beaulieu, but take him anyway.

Gotcha..

Beaulieu isn't enough to move up 5 spots. no one has any clue what he is going to be.

Nikitin, Ference and Pardy played very little for the Oil last season. Nurse, Davidson and Fayne are the defenders you should have mentioned.

5 spots is not all that much. And we don't know what these prospects will do either. +, I don't think the Oilers care all that much about trading down because the guy that they want (some D) will still be there if they pick 9.

not bad. i like how it manages to make the Habs even smaller and softer than they already are.

Not too hard to impersonate one. A judicial application of crayon to ones teeth is critical though.
